La quarta canzone del disco SAHIRA (Karkum Project 2023) è dedicata alla leggendaria Skuma di Taranto, la sirena di Taranto. Una storia di reciproco perdono. La bellissima ragazza Skuma sposata con un giovane pescatore di Taranto, cede alle lusinghe di un Principe e tradisce il suo sposo. Mortificata confessa l’accaduto a suo marito, che preso dalla rabbia la butta in mare. Skuma non muore, ma per la sua bellezza diventa la Regina delle sirene. Il pescatore, convinto di aver ucciso sua moglie, si dispera ed ogni giorno vive di rimpianti. Skuma regina, vedendolo sinceramente affranto, lo perdona e manifestandosi a lui decide di ritornare essere umano e abbandonare il mondo delle sirene. Per ritornare umana dovrà rubare il fiore di corallo bianco nel castello delle sirene e consegnarlo alla fata. Il pescatore dunque abbaglia le sirene con Ia sua barca piena di gioielli mentre Skuma ruba il fiore di corallo bianco, per consegnarlo alla fata. I due ritorneranno insieme come comuni mortali grazie alla magia della Fata, che con un colpo di bacchetta innalzò un’enorme onda che trascinò a riva i due amanti.
The fourth song of the disc SAHIRA (Karkum Project 2023) is dedicated to the legendary Skuma of Taranto, the siren of Taranto. A story of mutual forgiveness. The beautiful Skuma girl married to a young fisherman from Taranto, gives in to the flattery of a Prince and betrays her husband. Mortified, she confesses what happened to her husband, who, taken by her anger, throws her into the sea. Skuma does not die, but for her beauty she becomes the Queen of the sirens. The fisherman, convinced that he had killed his wife, despairs and lives with regrets every day. Queen Skuma, seeing him sincerely heartbroken, forgives him and manifesting herself to him decides to return to being a human being and abandon the world of sirens. To return to her human she will have to steal the white coral flower in the castle of the mermaids and deliver it to the fairy. The fisherman therefore dazzles the mermaids with his boat full of jewels while Skuma steals the white coral flower, to deliver it to the fairy. The two will return together as mere mortals thanks to the magic of the Fairy, who with a wave of her wand raised a huge wave that dragged the two lovers to shore.
