The third track of the album SAHIRA (Karkum Project 2023) is dedicated to Sayyida al-Hurra, the free lady, queen of Tetouan, who managed to counter the dominance of King Ferdinand II on the Mediterranean, allying herself with the pirates, to protect and avenge the Arab and Sephardi brothers driven out of Al Andalus and forced into diaspora.
